Domaine Galuval Winery

Vincent Moreau

Founded in the late 19th century, the Domaine Galuval  is situated in a history-rich area – the remains of Roman villas are to be found in the vicinity.
The name "Galuval" goes back to Latin, combining "Gallia" for Gaul and "uvae" for grapes.

Vincent Moreau leads the Domaine Galuval since 2004.   It is in a dream landscape with fine views of the Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail range.

We grow several vine varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan, all of them for the Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Cairanne appellation.
Our vineyards are spread throughout the commune of Cairanne, over a total surface of 24 hectares and a variety of soils (clays, pebbles, gravels) with a southern and western aspect, at altitudes between 120 and 270 metres.
Such diversity is one of the Domaine's main assets.
The vineyards are cultivated first and foremost by working the soil as naturally as possible.
The grapes are harvested by hand, with sorting both in the vineyard and at the winery.
The must of each vineyard are fermented individually in temperature-controlled stainless tanks.
The young wines are aged in barrels and in tanks for 6 to 18 months according to vintage, prior to the final blending and bottling at the Domaine.

Vincent Moreau contributes all his passion and energy to producing fine, subtle wines in the spirit of traditional winemaking. His single aim is to best please the palate of all those who love wine.
