Wines

The Rhône valley is an extensive winegrowing region.
It comprises two large production areas: northern Cotes-du-Rhône, with 100% Syrah red wines, and southern Cotes-du-Rhône, to which Cairanne belongs. Here the greater variety of grapes (Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre) allows producing red and rosé wines quite unlike each other.
Cairanne wines are made from these three varieties:

  • GRENACHE, the prevailing variety, gives wines with plenty of body, generous and well-structured, with fruity aromas and added touches of truffle and game;

  • SYRAH, which gives wines that mature early, brings a vivid red colour, well-blended tannins and spicy touches;

  • MOURVEDRE, requiring plenty of water and of sun, makes for well-structured wines that age well.

  • Our white wines feature lively fragrances of citrus fruits, of flowers such as hawthorn, violet or acacia, and also of white fruit. On your tables, Cairanne wines will marry harmoniously with a wide range of recipes and can accompany you all along your meals:

  • white wines can be drunk as aperitifs, with fish and with white meat;

  • rosé wines marry very well with salads and cold meats, but also with grilled meats;

  • lastly, red wines happily accompany a more elaborate cuisine and great cheeses.
